There's no place like home for Chino, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the South Hills Huskies by a score of 29-22 on Friday. The Cowboys have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Huskies, too.

Chino's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carson Hoover led the charge by rushing for 63 yards and one score, while also throwing for 124 yards and one TD while completing 76.9% of his passes. Hoover's passing game has become a key predictor of the Cowboys' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-5 otherwise. Another back making a difference was Nathan Bull, who rushed for 100 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries.

South Hills' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Fabian Marez, who rushed for 90 yards, and Jaylen Lang, who gained 92 total yards and two touchdowns.

Chino is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.2 points over those games. As for South Hills, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Chino will host Diamond Bar at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cowboys will need to watch out since the Brahmas have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for South Hills, they will head out to take on Covina at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
