Johnstown-Monroe is 8-2 against Newark Catholic since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Johnnies will host the Green Wave at 5:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Johnstown-Monroe's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Newark Catholic has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Johnstown-Monroe is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 26 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Lakewood on Thursday. They fell 6-2 to the Lancers.

Johnstown-Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Newark Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Johnstown-Monroe hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Newark Catholic struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
