Baseball Game Preview: Tolar Rattlers vs. Henrietta Bearcats

For the second straight game, Tolar will face off against Henrietta. The Rattlers will challenge the Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tolar will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Tolar is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over Henrietta. Considering the Rattlers have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Cutter Cain made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He has become a key player for Tolar: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 8-11 otherwise. Cain was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, Talan Culberson was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Tolar's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 6-11 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Hunter Michels, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Henrietta has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-14-1 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Tolar, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
