Preview: Trinity Collegiate Titans vs. Heathwood Hall Episcopal Highlanders

Trinity Collegiate has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Heathwood Hall Episcopal Highlanders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Trinity Collegiate's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games.

Trinity Collegiate scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 75-64 win over First Baptist School. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Trinity Collegiate's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jae Thomas led the charge by scoring 22 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Thomas is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Landon Wilson was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five assists and five steals.

Meanwhile, Heathwood Hall Episcopal's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 58-35 loss at the hands of Augusta Christian. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Heathwood Hall Episcopal in their matchups with Augusta Christian: they've now lost seven in a row.

Heathwood Hall Episcopal's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kamauri Hunter, who scored 18 points along with four steals, and Henry Morris who scored six points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hunter has scored all season.

Trinity Collegiate's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Heathwood Hall Episcopal, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.

Keep an eye on the arc in Tuesday's contest: Trinity Collegiate have been dynamite from deep this season, having made 52.8% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Heathwood Hall Episcopal, though, as they've only drained 33.3% of their threes per game this season. Given Trinity Collegiate's sizeable advantage in that area, Heathwood Hall Episcopal will need to find a way to close that gap.
