Softball Recap: Rancho Mirage Extends Winning Streak to Four

With a playoff win on the line, Rancho Mirage rose to the challenge on Saturday. They blew past the Westminster Lions 10-4. The Rattlers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Rancho Mirage, bringing their record up to 18-10. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Westminster, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 16-12 record.

Looking ahead, Rancho Mirage will square off against Culver City at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Rattlers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Centaurs have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. Westminster does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
