The Fellowship Christian Paladins will face off against the Mount Vernon Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Fellowship Christian comes in on seven and Mount Vernon on four.

Back in October, Fellowship Christian got the win against Whitefield Academy by a conclusive 31-7. The result was nothing new for the Paladins, who have now won eight contests by 24 points or more so far this season.

Fellowship Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jonathan Granby led the charge by rushing for 140 yards and one TD on only 15 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Cj Givers, who rushed for 92 yards and one score on only 13 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Fellowship Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 290 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Whitefield Academy only rushed for 99.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Mount Vernon rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 23-13.

Mount Vernon now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Fellowship Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
