Parker Shoup posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He struck out four batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
