Softball Recap: North Pike Takes a Loss

If North Pike was riding high fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Bogue Chitto last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jaguars came up short against the South Jones Braves on Tuesday, falling 12-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Jaguars have suffered since March 13th.

North Pike saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brenn Boyd, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

North Pike has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. As for South Jones, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

As of now, neither North Pike nor South Jones have any future games scheduled.
