Volleyball Recap: Warren Central Comes Up Short

Warren Central came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Madison Central Jaguars. The Vikings were not able to make up for their defeat to the Jaguars from their previous meeting back in September of 2022.

While Warren Central was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Madison Central's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-14, 25-16.

Leading Madison Central to victory were Ava Hinman and Lula Morris. Hinman had eight aces and four digs, while Morris had ten assists. Those eight aces gave Hinman a new career-high.

Warren Central dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Madison Central, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

Warren Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Jackson Prep on the 14th. As for Madison Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Brandon on the 14th.
