Softball Game Preview: Agape Christian Knights vs. Century Centurions

Agape Christian is 0-4 against Century since April of 2022 but things could change on Thursday. The Knights will be playing at home against the Centurions at 4:30 p.m. Agape Christian has given up an average of 12 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Monday, Agape Christian came up short against Cobden and fell 12-8.

McKenlee Miller was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Jaylynn Goff, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Century's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They came up short against Anna-Jonesboro, falling 16-1.

Century saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaylee Vanmeter, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Kali Crain also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Century's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Agape Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Agape Christian couldn't quite get it done against Century in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-0. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
