Quincy is 8-1 against Galesburg since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Blue Devils will welcome the Silver Streaks at 7:00 p.m. Quincy will be strutting in after a win while Galesburg will be coming in after a defeat.

While Quincy's victory against East Moline United wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blue Devils narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Panthers 23-21.

Quincy can attribute much of their success to Sawyer Harshberger, who rushed for 66 yards and two scores on only nine carries, and also threw for 108 yards on 15 of 24 attempts. Another player making a difference was Mason Mason, who rushed for 111 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Galesburg lost to Geneseo at home by a 38-20 margin on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Silver Streaks in their meetings with the Maple Leafs: they've now lost four in a row.

Quincy will have to keep a close watch on Corey McGee and Bradley Eaton, a pair of players who had a big impact on Galesburg's prior game. McGee rushed for 36 yards and a pair of TDs, while Eaton gained 85 total yards and a touchdown.

Quincy pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.3 points on average over those games. As for Galesburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Everything came up roses for Quincy against Galesburg in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 45-0 victory. Do the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Silver Streaks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
