Gillespie entered their tilt with Litchfield on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Purple Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-1 back in April.

Paxton Reid spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Laci Schuckenbrock was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Ava Parish was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Gillespie's record now sits at 19-6. As for Litchfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

Gillespie will head out on the road to face off against Civic Memorial at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Litchfield, they will be playing at home against Pana at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
