Softball Game Preview: Cedarcrest Red Wolves vs. North Creek Jaguars

The Cedarcrest Red Wolves will head out on the road to challenge the North Creek Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Cedarcrest came up short against Bothell on Monday, falling 9-1. The Red Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, North Creek put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Newport - Bellevue as North Creek made off with a 17-1 victory. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Reagan Fleming made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Grace Pinder was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Cayle Key was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

North Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Newport - Bellevue only posted an OBP of .286.

Cedarcrest now has a losing record of 3-4. As for North Creek, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-0.
