Softball Recap: Green Valley Falls Short Against Ranked Arbor View

Green Valley faced Arbor View in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Gators came up short against the Aggies, falling 14-3. The Gators have struggled against the Aggies recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Liliana Esparza was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Lauryn Galvin, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Green Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Arbor View, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Green Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Faith Lutheran at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
