Basketball Recap: Rolesville's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Rolesville won the last time they faced Knightdale, and Caitlyn Jones did her part to make sure it happened again. The Rolesville Rams secured a 56-50 W over the Knightdale Knights on Tuesday thanks in part to Jones, who went 7 of 15 on her way to 17 points in addition to seven steals and six assists. That's the most steals she has posted since back in March of 2024.

The team also got some help courtesy of Camryn Lee, who posted seven points and ten rebounds. She is becoming a predictor of Rolesville's success: when she posts at least eight boards the team is 6-2 (and 5-7 when she doesn't).

Despite the loss, Knightdale still got an impressive performance from Ja'Kiyah Moore, who went 8 for 16 en route to 19 points and seven rebounds. Ayomide Adewumi was another key player, going 5 of 9 on her way to 10 points.

The win snapped Rolesville's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-9 record. As for Knightdale, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-4.

Rolesville will have a chance to go back-to-back against Knightdale: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
