Volleyball Recap: Wamego Takes a Loss

Wamego lost against Rock Creek back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Red Raiders took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The Red Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Wamego was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-23.

Ryann Langvardt paced Wamego's offense, picking up six kills. Langvardt got some help from Kennedy Flynn and her nine assists.

Wamego's defeat dropped their record down to 14-18. As for Rock Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Rock Creek beat Wamego by a score of 2-0 later that day.
