Soccer Game Preview: Miller vs. Flour Bluff

Miller is 0-9 against Flour Bluff since January of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Miller Buccaneers will head out to take on the Flour Bluff Hornets at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Miller took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Alice by a score of 5-3.

Meanwhile, Flour Bluff waltzed into their game on Tuesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. Their defense stepped up to hand the Eagles a 1-0 shutout.

Flour Bluff's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 38 goals over those eight contests. As for Miller, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.

Miller might still be hurting after the 7-1 defeat they got from Flour Bluff in their previous meeting back in January. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Miller was down 5-0.
