Softball Recap: Rich Township Takes a Loss

Rich Township lost against Thornwood two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Raptors lost 14-3 to the Thunderbirds. The Raptors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kasidy Whitaker was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to triples, as she's now hit at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Ezri Adami was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Rich Township's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Thornwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Rich Township will challenge Crete-Monee at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raptors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Thornwood, they will take on Thornridge at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Thunderbirds are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
