Lincoln-Way Central had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Lincoln-Way West Warriors a 5-0 shutout on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Knights as they're now sitting on 23 straight.

Not much got past Lisabella Dimitrijevic, who gave up just a hit and racked up 16 Ks to keep Lincoln-Way West off the board. Dimitrijevic has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Teagan Berkshire, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jaimee Bolduc, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Lincoln-Way Central's win bumped their record up to 34-1. As for Lincoln-Way West, their loss dropped their record down to 21-12.
