Recap: Lourdes Academy vs. Central Rockets
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Palm Beach Lakes, Lourdes Academy were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 64-33 victory over Central. With Lourdes Academy ahead 43-15 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
It was another big night for Luciana Picasso, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Lourdes Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Sandoval, who scored 19 points along with 4 steals.
Lourdes Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lourdes Academy will take on Hialeah at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Miami Beach at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
