Baseball Game Preview: Bethlehem Center Bulldogs vs. Burgettstown Blue Devils

For the second straight game, Bethlehem Center will face off against Burgettstown. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethlehem Center is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Bethlehem Center came up short against Burgettstown on Monday, falling 11-1.

For Burgettstown's part, Matthew Bredel made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and not a single walk). Those eight strikeouts gave Bredel a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Jayden Roach was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Charles, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Burgettstown's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Bethlehem Center, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
