Baseball Recap: Tri Takes a Loss

Tri fell victim to Union County and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 12-0 to the Patriots. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Titans of the 8-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Tri saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Melton, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Tri and nudges their season record down to 2-16-1. As for Union County, they moved to 6-14 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Tri will take on Indiana School for the Deaf at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Union County, they will challenge Centerville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
