Basketball Recap: Ardrey Kell Skates Past Ballantyne Ridge with Ease

Ardrey Kell won the last time they faced Ballantyne Ridge and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Ardrey Kell Knights claimed a resounding 65-19 win over the Ballantyne Ridge Wolves. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Wolves are ranked 526th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ardrey Kell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Karly Glahn, who posted ten points along with seven boards and five assists. Glahn has been hot, having also posted three or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Bryson Mccoy, who scored 11 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Ardrey Kell smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Ardrey Kell pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Ballantyne Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.
