Volleyball Recap: North Valleys Comes Up Short

North Valleys was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McQueen Lancers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-1 loss back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 22-25, 25-15, 25-14.

McQueen had a senior duo take command as Madi Brenner had 12 digs and two aces and Nya Lagrone had 13 digs and four assists. Lagrone is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

North Valleys' defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for McQueen, their win bumped their record up to 14-12.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. North Valleys will challenge rival Hug at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, McQueen is set to square off against their familiar foe Reno at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
