The team relied heavily on Lucas Drake, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Menendez is undefeated when Drake posts two or more runs, but 6-11 otherwise.

Menendez has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Bell County and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Coming up, Menendez will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Ponte Vedra at 6:00 p.m. Ponte Vedra's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Menendez's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Bell County, they will head out on the road to square off against Beachside at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
