Hill Country Christian School of Austin gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged out the Brazos Christian Eagles 7-6. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Nick Cheij was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Ashton Berzins was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Hill Country Christian School of Austin's victory bumped their record up to 10-6-1. As for Brazos Christian, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hill Country Christian School of Austin is set to square off against their familiar foe Round Rock Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Brazos Christian will face off against rival Vanguard College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on April 8.
