Basketball Recap: Monday's Loss Ends Sunshine Bible Academy's Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sunshine Bible Academy can now relate to. They took a 63-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tiospaye Topa Thunderhawks on Monday. The Crusaders' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Sunshine Bible Academy still got an impressive performance from Jerome Big Eagle, who went 6-for-8 to rack up 12 points and eight boards. Owan Watson was another key player, putting up nine points and six rebounds.

Leading Tiospaye Topa to victory were Jacolby Rousseau and Laken Traversie. Rousseau posted 24 points, while Traversie scored 16 points. The dominant performance gave Rousseau a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Garnett, who earned 11 points.

Sunshine Bible Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Tiospaye Topa, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-15.
