The Winston Salem Christian Silver Lions will face off against the Combine Academy Global Goats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Winston Salem Christian Silver is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Oak Ridge Military Academy just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 51-38 to the Eagles. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Combine Academy Global was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-59 heartbreaker at the hands of Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy.

Despite the loss, Combine Academy Global saw an underclassman step up: sophomore John Stokes III dropped a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds. Those 17 boards gave Stokes III a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sterling Bohn, who posted eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, Combine Academy Global smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Winston Salem Christian Silver's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Combine Academy Global, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
