Basketball Recap: Davis Snags 15th Victory in Last 16 Games

Davis won the last time they faced Westlake, and Coleman Atwater did his part to make sure it happened again. The Davis Darts snuck past the Westlake Thunder with a 65-59 win on Monday which was due in part to Atwater, who went 8-for-17 en route to 26 points and five rebounds. His big performance that afternoon made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points.

Another player making a difference was JT Turley, who posted 11 points and four steals. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last nine games he's played.

Davis has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season. Westlake moved to 17-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Davis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 75-55 victory against Layton on the 26th. Westlake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
