Basketball Game Preview: Southlake Carroll Dragons vs. Bell Blue Raiders

The Southlake Carroll Dragons will venture away from home to take on the Bell Blue Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southlake Carroll will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Southlake Carroll is headed into the match having just posted their closest win since December 3, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 40-37 victory over Northwest. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Texans are ranked 1045th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bell). They blew past Keller Central 85-59 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Blue Raiders have posted since December 17, 2024.

Southlake Carroll's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-8. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Bell, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

Southlake Carroll came up short against Bell in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 76-70. Can Southlake Carroll avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
