Football Game Preview: Flora Wolves vs. Hamilton County Foxes

The Flora Wolves will head out to challenge the Hamilton County Foxes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hamilton County took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Flora, who comes in off a win.

Flora will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Fairfield, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Wolves walked away with a 28-20 win over the Mules on Friday. 28 seems to be a good number for the Wolves as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Kormik Massie was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 122 yards and two scores while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Massie is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 122 every time he's taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Hamilton County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by Johnston City 44-6. While losing is never fun, the Foxes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 446th, while the Indians are ranked 167th).

The win made it two in a row for Flora and bumps their season record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 28.0 points over those games. As for Hamilton County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Flora beat Hamilton County 18-8 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
