Basketball Recap: Columbus Falcons vs. Neshoba Central Rockets
After flying high against the Warren Central Vikings last Tuesday, the Columbus Falcons came back down to earth. Columbus took a serious blow against the Rockets on Friday, falling 67-16. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Columbus has scored all season.
Neshoba Central found their leader in underclassman Kyli Truss, who scored 18 points. Truss continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelin Williams, who scored eight points.
Columbus' loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-20. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.7 points per game. As for Neshoba Central, the victory was the 24th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 26-1.
Columbus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Neshoba Central also has no future games currently scheduled.
