Volleyball Recap: Aubrey Lewis' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Wyoming Area over Hazleton Area

Wyoming Area lost against Hazleton Area back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Warriors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Wyoming Area started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-22, 25-15, 25-13.

Wyoming Area lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Aubrey Lewis, who had 13 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Josie Kivak, who had five digs and three aces.

Wyoming Area's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Hazleton Area, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

As of now, neither Wyoming Area nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
