Basketball Recap: Rutland Skates Past Colchester with Ease

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Rutland had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 54-26 victory over the Colchester Lakers. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Rutland pushed their record up to 14-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.2 points. As for Colchester, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.

Coming up, Rutland will take on South Burlington on Friday. South Burlington will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Rutland surely won't give up without a fight. Colchester does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
