Basketball Recap: Make It Six in a Row for San Antonio S.T.E.A.M. Academy

San Antonio S.T.E.A.M. Academy waltzed into their match on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They strolled past Varsity Opponent with points to spare, taking the game 62-47. That's the fifth time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 93-52 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead San Antonio S.T.E.A.M. Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ryan Hayes, who posted 16 points and four steals. Hayes' evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dwayne Newton, who went 5 for 7 en route to 13 points.

San Antonio S.T.E.A.M. Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.
