Football Recap: Taravella Comes Up Short

Taravella was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Coral Springs Charter Panthers 48-18. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 35-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Taravella's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chris McDonald, who picked up 96 receiving yards and one score. Eddie James Jr. was another key pass catcher, picking up 89 receiving yards and one TD.

Taravella's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Coral Springs Charter, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Taravella will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cypress Bay at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. As for Coral Springs Charter, they have already played their next game, a 35-20 victory against Northeast on the 3rd.
