Basketball Recap: Cardinal Newman Gets the Win

Cardinal Newman won against Inlet Grove on Friday with 56 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Cardinal Newman Crusaders pulled ahead with a 56-55 photo finish over the Inlet Grove Hurricanes. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 56-55 on Friday.

Cardinal Newman was led to victory by L.T. Noegel and Jayden Fenelus. Noegel posted 21 points, while Fenelus put up 15 points. Noegel is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played.

The win got Cardinal Newman back to even at 9-9. As for Inlet Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-5.

Cardinal Newman wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 46-45 victory against Belen Jesuit on the 18th. As for Inlet Grove, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-23 loss against Atlantic Christian on the 18th.
