Mt. Eden was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight  loss. They were six  points away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   19-13 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tennyson Lancers. On the bright side, the 13- point  performance marked the Monarchs' highest-scoring  matchup to date.
 Tennyson found their leader in sophomore  Navlynn Thomas, who rushed for 141 yards and three  touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Thomas showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 56 yards.
Mt. Eden's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Tennyson,  with the  victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-9.
 Mt. Eden wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  contest,  an  8-6  loss against San Leandro on the 16th. As for Tennyson, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  an  8-6  defeat against Hayward on the 16th.
