Soccer Game Preview: Standish-Sterling vs. Clare

The Standish-Sterling Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Clare Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

The Panthers never let the Falcons get on the board and left with a 4-0 win on Wednesday. Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clare). They were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over Shepherd on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for Clare in their matchups with Shepherd: they've now won three in a row.

The win keeps Standish-Sterling at an undefeated 4-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four matchups. As for Clare, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
