Basketball Game Preview: Grace Academy Knights vs. Calvary Christian Academy

The Grace Academy Knights are taking a road trip to square off against Calvary Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Grace Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 65 points last Friday, they were much more limited against New Life Christian on Tuesday. They took a 35-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of New Life Christian.

Grace Academy's loss came about despite a quality game from Carson Feeser, who posted 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Berry, who put up two points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Even though they lost, Grace Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Calvary Christian Academy played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Heritage Academy and fell 92-50. Calvary Christian Academy hasn't had much luck with Heritage Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Grace Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Grace Academy skirted past Calvary Christian Academy 43-40 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grace Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
