Basketball Recap: Cathedral City Comes Up Short

Cathedral City played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles and fell 67-27. The Lions have struggled against the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Desert Hot Springs got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Denny Castro out in front who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 boards. The game was Castro's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaymere Broach, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Cathedral City's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Desert Hot Springs, they pushed their record up to 7-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Cathedral City has already played their next contest, a 60-33 loss against Banning on the 23rd. As for Desert Hot Springs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 76-32 win against Desert Mirage on the 23rd.
