Football Recap: Lake View Skates Past Orr with Ease

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Lake View on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Orr Spartans out of the water with a 32-0 final score. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Wildcats had established a 24-point advantage.

Lake View had a senior duo take command as Tyrone Townes rushed for 110 yards and two TDs on only eight carries and Josiah Viruet rushed for 81 yards and a pair of scores. Jaylen Lopez got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Lake View didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Lopez led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Lake View's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Orr, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Lake View is taking a road trip to take on Chicago Sullivan at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Wildcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Orr, they will host Dunbar at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
