Football Recap: Temple Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Temple's offense. The matchup between Temple and Mountain View-Gotebo didn't end well, with Temple falling 15-0. While losing is never fun, Temple can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 74th, while Mountain View-Gotebo is ranked 12th).

Temple's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Mountain View-Gotebo, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Temple is set to challenge their familiar foe Grandfield at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mountain View-Gotebo will square off against rival Tipton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
