Basketball Recap: Salem Wildcats vs. Jefferson County Tigers
Salem kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a blow against the Jefferson County Tigers, falling 78-34. The Wildcats were down 64-24 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Despite the defeat, Salem saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lincoln Quinn posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rustin Shoemake, who scored eight points and three steals.
