Basketball Recap: Northridge Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Fulton last Saturday, Northridge Academy came back down to earth. The Northridge Academy Pumas were outmatched by the Cleveland Cavaliers and fell 81-30. The Pumas were red-hot offensively headed into the match (they scored no less than 55 points in the three games prior) but the Cavaliers' defense proved too tough.

Serigne Deme had an outrageously good game for Cleveland as he went 10 for 16 en route to 20 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Roman Finney was another key player, putting up 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Northridge Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Cleveland, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-4.

Northridge Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 55-48 loss against Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences on the 29th. Cleveland has also already played their next match, a 75-59 victory against El Camino Real on the 29th.
