Softball Recap: Kearns Takes a Loss

Kearns saw some tournament action on Saturday. They lost 13-4 to the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kearns saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haylee Heaton, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Kearns now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Gunnison Valley, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Kearns will be playing at home against Cyprus at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gunnison Valley, they will be taking part in a tournament against Bishop Kelly at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Bishop Kelly 2.8, Gunnison Valley 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
