Softball Recap: Incarnate Word Academy Falcons vs. St. John XXIII Lions
Incarnate Word Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 13-3 to the St. John XXIII Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 on April 1st.
Incarnate Word Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Montemayor, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Karly Taylor was another, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.
Incarnate Word Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-14-1. As for St. John XXIII, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-6.
Incarnate Word Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. John XXIII, they will head out to square off against Antonian Prep on Wednesday. The Apaches will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
