Farragut faced Bearden in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Admirals fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 6-5. The Admirals' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Farragut's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Bearden, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Farragut will head out to take on Maryville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games the Red Rebels have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Bearden, they will head out on the road to square off against William Blount at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
