South Beloit's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over Earlville. The win continues a trend for the Sobos in their matchups with the Red Raiders: they've now won three in a row.

Richard Carlson made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Carlson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Carlson wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was JT Sanders, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Milledgeville fell victim to Dakota and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Indians, falling 9-0. The Missiles' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Milledgeville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for South Beloit, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
