Baseball Recap: San Diego Takes a Loss

San Diego fell victim to Orange Grove and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 6-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-2 back in March.

San Diego's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 13-8-1. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Orange Grove, Bishop, and London. As for the Bulldogs, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. San Diego will challenge rival London at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vaqueros 3.8, the Pirates 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Orange Grove is set to take on their familiar foe Bishop at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
